Welcome"Everyone is an artist. We each have an artistic voice, our own voice to explore. There is no competition, only fun." Lynette Wood |

Lynette Wood is a nationally known artist. Her art work has been honored on Ovation TV, the cable fine arts channel, as "real art". She comes from a family of artists and has been exhibiting since 10 years old at the Laguna Beach Festival of Arts in Calif. She attended Chouinard Art Institute in LA, and has been painting portraits, large abstracts, then acrylics and watercolors. Currently she says "I love teaching art and particularly making watercolors easy for beginners." |
Lynette travels and often teaches art classes where she travels. But constantly she prepares for her Florida watercolor art classes. She is naturally creative and loves encouraging her students to find their "own artistic voice". Recently in Joshua Tree National Park she did a watercolor of Joshua Tree Lake at an astronomers party. Then on her brothers boat in San Pedro she did a watercolor portrait of a family with a young babe. "Life is art to me. Just driving along I see the brilliant colors in the flowers or landscaping and I think about how that might translate into a painting." "The last time I was in Calif I painted Newport Beach and the sun setting behind Catalina Island. It was a challenge because the sun was going down faster than I expected. But then, life is a challenge." "So I simply painted fast and I caught it." LW |
